|About the Book|
I started this book because it has a female protagonist and I like thrillers. This, however, is my least favorite in recent memory. The characters need more development for sure. The confusion in the later chapters (Of the protagonist? Of her PTSD? Of who knows what?) did not make any sense to me. This book was over the top violent without appropriate motivation. I am quite disappointed. Female characters CAN be the lead in a thriller and be INTERESTING without requiring childhood rape, military service rape, sadism, etc. Come on! Where are the deep, complex, well-developed female characters we so long for?
